Prada's Spring/Summer 2010 Advertising Campaign

If you were on the NY Times yesterday, you couldn't miss Prada’s latest campaign. The black and white film is an interesting show of how fantasy(characters floating with parasols) doddles with reality(young men dressed impeccably in Prada). This short film by Yang Fudong is Prada’s Spring/Summer 2010 menswear advertising campaign.

“First Spring” is the title of the 9 minute short and comes from the Chinese adage that “the whole year’s work depends on a good start in Spring.” In this film, we can see Fudong’s innovative approach where we see him bring together individual characters in an interesting manner. Through the streets of Shanghai we can see old fashioned characters and settings with a modern portrayal.
