Fall Fashion '09

This fall we are seeing a lot of boyish silhouettes with boxy, structured and oversized cuts. Leather is also a major trend - jackets that have a masculine edge while maintaining femininity are key. Blacks and greys are coming back with a vengeance(as they do almost every fall). The colours this season, are pastels – but they aren’t to be overdone. Just a hint on a scarf, belt or bag is enough to do the trick.

Structured pieces with bold shoulders refer back to the 80s era with power dressing. Slouchy knits held together with a belted waist are also in the mix. To counteract the structured pieces up top, we are seeing slimmer lines on the bottom. Slim leg trousers, tights, and boots that cling from the thigh down are favourites.

MAC has also caught onto the theme of the season. “Something’s smouldering. Mad, bad, and delirious. Danger boy. Androgynous girl.
