MAC is in the Spirit of Giving

Earlier this week I wrote about Gucci’s collaboration with UNICEF, on that note, I have another exciting announcement!

Many of us are familiar with MAC’s Viva Glam line, where 100% of the sale goes to the MAC Aids Fund. To date, MAC has given away more than $150 million to fight HIV/AIDS – talk about one upping Gucci.

And to out-do themselves, on December 1st, in a company-wide effort to commemorate World AIDS Day, MAC artists from Toronto are donating their time and skills at Fife House, an organization that provides secure, affordable, supportive housing and support services to persons living with HIV/AIDS(MAC artists are also volunteering their time at HIV/AIDS organizations in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax). The volunteer initiative is part of a worldwide effort to complement the artists’ commitment to the global fight against HIV/AIDS.
This is MAC’s way of giving back, we can do our part too, just make your way to a MAC store and grab a product from the Viva Glam line. Let's show some support! “Every time a M·A·C employee creates, designs, packages, ships or sells a Viva Glam lipstick or lipglass, they are helping to save and improve the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS,” said Nancy Mahon, Senior Vice President of M·A·C Cosmetics and Executive Director of the M·A·C AIDS Fund.
