2009 Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF

Feeling guilty about your purchase? Well here’s a way to ease the guilt. For the past 4 years, Gucci has been working to benefit UNICEF. In the past they raised over $7 million but that isn’t enough, Gucci is doing it again!

It’s always amazing when luxury designers work with charitable organizations. Gucci has recently announced it’s 5th Annual Campaign to Benefit UNICEF. Frida Giannini, the creative director of Gucci, has commissioned illustrator Michael Roberts to create a sequel to his highly successful children’s book, Snowman in Paradise. The new book, Snowman in Africa(pictured above to the right) is sold exclusively in Gucci stores and on Gucci.com for $25 and 100% of that is going to UNICEF.

Alongside the book, there will be Gucci accessories(bag pictured below) as well as a Gucci Gift Card to Benefit UNICEF, all inspired by Michael Roberts’ illustrations. These are a bit pricier and range from $50 to $5,000USD. But knowing that the 25% is going to UNICEF, the guilt factor slowly diminishes!

Patrizio di Marco, CEO of Gucci remarked, “Gucci’s collaboration with UNICEF has produced important results in the last five years, thanks ultimately to the interest and enthusiasm of our customers.”

The campaign and accessories are so full of fun, but don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself! Go to Gucci.com!
