Last week I met Naz Melconian - co-founder of www.MimmoandNaz.com who specializes in producing fine art films on vintage super 8mm & 16mm movie film cameras. I fell in love with their work! The team specializes in capturing one of the most vulnerable moments in our lives... weddings.
Several weeks ago, Naz was approached by Renata Kaveh (one of the top 10 female Canadian fashion photographers) to collaborate on a short fashion film. Within only a week, Naz & Renata managed -along with Renata's team- to cast, set design, shoot, produce, edit a film piece, and create a music score from scratch. The film takes its cues from Hitchcock, David Lynch and Guy Bourdin. The film premiered on October 20th 2010 in Toronto at Parts & Labour in the West Queen West neighborhood. The film premiere was attended by the fashion elite including Fashion Television and Flare Magazine. Without further ado, here is the short film:
