The Mane Event - Book Your Appointment Now!


Getting your hair done to give back. Sounds too goo to be true right? Not with Steve Roy, it isn't. 

On Sunday October 24th between 10am and 4pm, you can give back with a day of pampering at some of Toronto's best salons. The Mane Event is a one day event, where you can book a hair service(cut, blow-dry or colour) and 100% of proceeds will go to The Teresa Group, Canada’s oldest community-based charitable organization specifically serving affected by HIV/AIDS. 

The event also includes a raffle with prizes valued over $3,000 and silent auction with items on display at Lift Salon + Spa. A brick wall of compassion recognizes contributors and plenty of refreshments and desserts will be served. Each participant will also receive a gift bag(valued over $75) as a token of appreciation.

The event has raised over $270,000 to date. It began with Steve Roy from Solo Bace Salon 13 years ago, his goal is to not only raise funds but also to generate awareness for the cause. Steve emphasizes that the proceeds go to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

“I am afraid that if I tell my friend, she might tell the whole school, then everyone will be afraid that they will catch it,” says 11 year old girl, living with HIV/AIDS, who is a part of The Leading the Way Program offered by The Teresa Group.
