The New Faces of Armani

Armani is known for, among other things, creating hot advertising campaigns that embody fashion, sex, and youth. This year is no exception.

Giorgio Armani unveiled Megan Fox, arguably one of the sexiest actresses as of late, as the new face of Emporio Armani Womens Underwear and Armani Jeans, for Spring/Summer 2010. The campaign featuring Megan was shot in L.A. by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and will begin to roll out this month in fashion and lifestyle magazines. The ads will also be seen on signature billboards around the world, including major cities like New York, Tokyo, Paris and Milan.

"Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirit," said Armani of his latest campaign star, adding "Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans are all about a youthful attitude, making her the perfect choice for the collections."

Keeping with the theme of young and sexy, Cristiano Ronaldo, the man who has women watching soccer for all the wrong reasons, also signed on to represent Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. Armani's decision to team up with the rising athlete (who happens to have the perfect body) is no surprise - Giorgio Armani was the first fashion designer to select a soccer player for his campaigns, and has dressed many of the worlds great players, including David Beckham, who previously starred in Armani's underwear campaigns. Like Megan's campaign, the ads will roll out over the month in magazines and on billboards worldwide.

Do you prefer Megan or Cristiano? Think Armani made the wrong choice? I for one, will be ripping these Cristiano images out of my magazines and framing them around the house.
